I scan negative and slides with a dedicated film scanner that is capable of image resolutions up to 7200 dpi for enlargement and image preservation.I can scan your prints and flatwork up to legal size at 3200 dpi optical resolution for crisp enlargements. Converting and preserving them to digital files on CD or DVD.

High Resolution Scanning

Work intended for print enlargement needs to be scanned at the highest resolution possible to achieve the the highest quality finished prints. Pricing varies by the resolution of final scanned image.

Photo Restoration

After scanning your images, I can repair old/damaged photos by bringing them back to a presentable state for preservation and reproduction. Torn, scratched, and discolored images can be saved and digitally preserved for future generations. All restoration work is done by the hour and estimates are free.

I have the ability to photographically reproduce 2D / 3D works of art for print reproduction.

Custom Black & White

For the highest quailty monotone images, a custom conversion is done giving unique attention to the details of the images being converted.

It is a common practice to emulate specific film types in this process. This is done by recreating film grain and tonal range within the final image.

Toned/Split Toning

Toning is the process of converting an image to monotone first then colorizing parts of the image with either a overall an tone such as sepia or selenium.

Split-Toning is similar but the effect is created by selectively applying the tone to portions of the image or applying more than one color to the image to create a unique final image.

Airbrushing/Touch-Up

The primary image selected will be airbrushed to create the highest quality finish. You may want blemishes removed from the photo. This pricing is based on the time involved in polishing the image and the complexity of the work.

Photo-Illustration/Special Effects

I can convert images into a variety of illustrative finishes such as watercolor, charcoal, and sketchs.

I can also apply a process of special effects like soft focus, vinetting, diffusion, and light based glows.

HDR Tonemapping

The HDR technique is a new, edgy technique that is created both in the studio session and in the computer at post production. It is a process of layering multiple images to create a unique, final image.

Tonemapping can acheive a psuedo HDR effect with only one image after the shoot.

Photographic Edges

Custom borders can be applied to images giving them a hand finished look. There are many border finishes available to choose from.

Image Swapping

I can remove people from one photo and place them into another. Swapping heads is a common practice to get the best expressions from the photo shoot.

All image swapping is based on pre-defined goals and custom work pricing.

Typographic Stylization

Often text is added to a final image and can be anything from the family name/names, dates, and/or favorite passages.

This treatment can be subtle or extreme in its final execution.
