Artist Statement

I approach art with a zen like process, both as artist and viewer. As an artist the moment of enlightenment comes when I understand that I have captured the essence of the image and its truth. As a viewer it becomes a journey of mentally exploring the art and where it takes my mind. The moment of zen comes when I see my truth in the work that I am pondering.

I have created many many porcelain and clay masks over the years. Masks have always held a sort of magical draw to me. Creating characters with personallities and presence.
