I was raised in North Ogden, Utah, and graduated from Weber State University's BFA program specialising in Visual Communications/Design. I have own/operate Ubangi Ink Design Studios for over twenty years and work as a creative problem solver in many of the visual communication fields. I have an extensive background in graphic arts, publication design, public art, and web development. I teach and train photography and web management. I also volunteer and work with local non-profit organizations.
I am married to Mauri Pilgrim Porter, and we have a daughter named Marley. I have developed a love of hiking and exploring the outdoors. I love to capture natures beauty and most of our family adventures involve the pursuit of new, natural wonders to photograph. I built my home and studio in North Ogden where I am very invovled in the 3D arts, working with my hands creating works in metal, wood, stained glass and ceramics.

Rising above all of my disiplines is photography. I have always pursued photography as one of my life long passions, both as a technical skill as well as a visual record of my vision of the world. I have a portrait studio onsite and practice portraiture on a regular basis. You can view my body of work at my studio and in the surrounding community.
